A local small business owner says she was nearly scammed by someone who hired her for a job.
Stephanie Moore owns Move Ready Cleaning in the Tulsa Metro, a small business she just started earlier this year.
"So we're hired by either the homeowner that doesn't have time to clean right before they close because they're so stressed out, or the the people that bought the house, they want to move into something fresh and clean," said Stephanie.
Scam aims to trick businesses into cashing bogus checks

TULSA COUNTY, Okla. — When scammers tried to trick Stephanie Moore into cashing a bogus check, she reached out to 2 News asking us to listen to and share her story.
Moore recently started up a business cleaning houses for people either moving in or moving out.
She has a website, uses Facebook, and other social media to let people know about her business so it isn't uncommon for potential clients to just contact her out of the blue.

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — "So that's when I realized it was a scam for sure," said small business owner Stephanie Moore. She wants you to be aware.
"So then I started thinking, this isn't sounding right," she said.
About a scam that might target you next.
"I got a text from somebody," she said.
She's the owner of Move-Ready Cleaning.
